“We really try to diversify what is on our site, so that everyone no matter where they are from or what they are into, can find at least one thing that they cannot live without,” Jordan Abidor, owner of Arkaik says.

Arkaik Clothing originally began as a creative outlet for Abidor and has grown substantially through fan pages, a Twitter account, advertisements and at concert venues. “The Facebook page we have, has grown from 15,000 fans in January, to nearly 120,000 fans and our Twitter account has over 65,000 followers,” Abidor said. “We have been placing advertisements in several print outlets, such as Alternative Press Magazine, as well as various magazines in the United Kingdom and Australia, our two largest international markets.”

During the first two years of Arkaik Clothing, Abidor worked alone. After the second year, Abidor began working with Alex Mitchell, Arkaik’s current graphic designer. Abidor recently hired a full-time staff, which consists of over 12 people, to work at the company’s Tempe office so that he could pursue graduation.

“Arkaik Clothing has basically grown through word of mouth, and client satisfaction,” Abidor said. “I place a large amount of my time and effort into ensuring that every client, no matter where they are from, or how much they have purchased from us, is 100% satisfied with that they have ordered.”

Jordan Abidor, 20, was born and raised in New Jersey before his family moved to Arizona in 2001. He is currently a sophomore supply chain management and marketing major with a minor in international business and statistics at the W.P. Carey School of Business - Arizona State University. If that wasn’t enough, Abidor plans to pursue an honors degree at Barrett, The Honors College.

At the mere age of 16, Abidor founded his company, Arkaik Clothing, during December of 2007, as a junior in high school. After considering a few names, Abidor finally decided on a name that can now be seen in all 50 states as well as retail stores in over 20 countries. “We were studying Archaic stories in my junior English class, and at that point it was between ‘Dreadnaught’ and ‘Juggernaut’ for the brand name,” Abidor said in an interview conducted through e-mail. “So after doodling around with the word [Arkaik] for a few days, I decided it would be a much more dynamic and applicable fit for the brand.”

At just 20 years old, Abidor is now the owner and founder of Arkaik Clothing, a company that has clients in over 120 international countries and ships over 1,000 orders of merchandise a month. The company began by making t-shirts and has now developed a girl’s clothing line, slip on shoes, sweatshirts, jackets, accessories, and more. Arkaik works with touring artists and bands such as, Breathe Carolina, Attack Attack, Suicide Silence, Alesana, D.R.U.G.S, As I Lay Dying and We Came as Romans, to name a few.

Arkaik Clothing was featured during the 2010 Vans Warped Tour where the company traveled to 45 different states and venues and was visited by over 10,000 attendees each day of the tour. The company was also featured at the 2010 Bamboozle Left Festival in Anaheim, California, which had well over 25,000 attendees.
